 Celebrity Wedding on a Budget

Look to celebrity weddings for inspiration and surprisingly, some of the most-talked-about ideas from recent A-list weddings can easily be recreated on an affordable budget.

ROYAL CAKES
If a royal cake is too pricey, ask your baker to add a couple of “faux” layers. This will give you the majestic visual appeal of a grand cake without the price tag. After you and your groom cut the cake, your caterer can slice up the layer cake you were hiding in the back. Your guests will never know!

MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT
Live music is the height of luxury and celebrities often have full bands including well known singers. If hiring an act like this isn’t in your budget, consider hiring a solo harpist or piano player for your ceremony and cocktail hour  and then switch to a DJ for the reception.

LUXE HONEYMOON
Let’s be honest, after all that planning and hard work, sometimes the honeymoon is the reward for all those hours spent selecting colors, fabrics, music, food  and more! Celebs know this all too well and often reward themselves with two-week vacations at some of the world’s most exclusive locales. If an extended holiday isn’t something you want to splurge on, consider a week or just a long weekend away.

GUEST FAVORS
Celebrities often spare no expense when it comes to leaving their wedding guests with a lasting memory of their celebration. The key to favors is to make sure that they’re personal and reflect you as a couple. If you’re into nature, give individual seed packs with planting instructions printed on a small tag. Foodie couples might want to package grandma’s homemade cookies with the recipe included.

Vitamins for Groom's Sexual Health
What guys generally hope for when it comes to sexual health is an enthusiastic libido and a similarly enthusiastic erection through vitamins from food, not from supplements. On this one, there's no quick fix.
So read on – MANAALAYA has got five nutrients you need to know –

VITAMIN C - increases blood flow. That's important because pressurized blood is what gives you an erection -- the arteries that go to that area open up, while the veins going out of it narrow. Your blood is now where it needs to be  and since it has nowhere to go, your penis has to accommodate it somehow. Vitamin C helps this process happen.

Folic Acid/Folate (Vitamin B9) - Folate is what we call the natural vitamin that's found in foods while folic acid is the man-made version that you find in supplements. It's also added to your pasta, cereal, flour and all of your other enriched grain products.

Carnitine and Vitamin E - Carnitine isn't a vitamin. But while vitamin E has shown in some studies to improve sperm activity, there's much better evidence for carnitine, something your body uses to transform fat into energy.

Vitamin B12 - You can only get it from animal foods -- lamb, liver, sardines, clams and beef all have plenty. Vegetarians can stick with eggs and some cheeses  but vegans are at risk for vitamin B12 deficiency.

Niacin (Vitamin B3)  Niacin is notable when it comes to your sex life because it helps make sex hormones and improves your blood circulation. It also regulates things like sleep patterns and erectile dysfunction.

Brow Grooming For Men
Just like getting a fresh haircut or shape-up, keeping your brows neatly groomed will enhance your appearance and therefore, boost your confidence. Hey, all you need are a set of brow scissors and tweezers.

TRIM
Simply brush your brows up (yes, you can use your fingers if you don’t have a brow brush) and you’ll notice that some hairs stand longer than the rest.  Slowly trim them horizontally.  Once you brush them all back into place, you’ll notice a difference right away.  Depending on how thick or long your brows are, this may be all you need to do.

TWEEZE
Any brow hairs that come too closely to the center of the nose bridge can make your eyes look close together and also create an unkempt look.  To make sure you’re not removing too much, draw an imaginary line from the middle of your nostril vertically up as a guide to where each eyebrow should begin  and get rid of anything that lays in between.

Finish by tweezing any stray hairs that fall outside of your natural brow line  above or below the eyebrow.  And don’t forget those strays!  By cleaning the hairs that fall outside of your natural shape and creating clean lines for your brows, you’ll balance out all of your features while retaining your natural masculine appeal.

PLANNING A BEACH WEDDING
When you picture a beach wedding, chances are you're dreaming of the soft sand, cool ocean breeze and gorgeous sunset in the distance. They are relaxed, because what can be better than walking barefoot to your beloved being surrounded by friends and relatives?
Tan, navy, grey, brown, white, even blush pink are ideal colours for a groom’s attire. When considering what formal clothing to wear for a tropical wedding, the three most important aspects to factor in are the style, fit, and color match. MANAALAYA’s got a few noteworthy suggestions here.
PREPARE YOUR GUESTS Make sure your guests know your event will take place on the sand. Mention your plans on the invitation or wedding website  and prepare your guests for the sun by including necessary items in the welcome bags like  travel-size bottles of good quality sunscreen, bottled water, towels and hand fans to beat the heat.
STAY NATURAL A gorgeous ocean backdrop doesn't need to be too dressed up. Instead, highlight the natural beauty of the setting. A beach wedding can be about shells and starfish, but it can also take inspiration from the harmonious color palette of sand, dune grasses, stones and water and  decor should be simple; avoid going over the top with fussy flowers.
ADD COLOR To make your setup really pop, choose colors that contrast the sand and the surf rather than blend in, like corals, greens and other vibrant tones.
GO LOCAL When it comes to food; look for caterers who are conscientious and respectful of the beach environment.
GET A PERMIT Research the required paperwork to hold your ceremony on the beach, especially if it's public.  Also, inquire in advance about noise ordinances  and be sure to follow them.
TIME IT RIGHT When dealing with beach wedding photos, lighting is especially important. Therefore ending the ceremony an hour before sunset will let you  get great action shots in natural lighting, as well as sunset portraits.
SET UP A SHOE STATION   Don't let your guests spend the day with sand in their shoes. Provide a shoe check, where guests can swap their shoes for flip-flops and wipe sand off their feet a bench, towels and a bucket of water.
PROVIDE SHADE Shade is your guests' best friend. Consider creating a canopy to cover the seating area; for example, you could source some rustic bamboo poles and loosely drape thin white fabric on top.
HAVE A SEAT Wooden benches, folding chairs and waterproof ottomans are great choices because they're heavy enough to withstand the ocean breeze.
OFFER REFRESHMENTS To keep your guests refreshed, set up a table with ice water, lemonade or a signature cocktail that guests can enjoy while waiting for the ceremony to start.
PREPARE FOR WIND A good rule of thumb on the beach: Anything that can blow away, will. If you're using ceremony programs, weight them down with shells, tie them to chairs with ribbon or print them on fans, which performs a double duty.
ANCHOR DECOR Wind can topple tall floral arrangements, blow out candles and send other table elements flying.  Stay away from glass vases, which can easily break in the sand.
For lighting, use hurricane-style lanterns or LED candles, which are flameless and long lasting. Weigh your menus and napkins down with coconut shells.
RENT A POWDER ROOM If marrying on a public beach, find out if there are bathrooms. If not, hire an upscale portable lavatory for a few hours, especially if there’s going to be lots of drinking during the reception.

Throw an Incredible Dinner Party Reception

The vibe at a dinner party is much more intimate and allows for couples to actually spend time with their guests! Although some dinner parties are all out casual, others are big on elegance. Here, MANAALAYA has rounded up some favorite ways to make your dinner party fabulous!

GREAT LIGHTING
Lighting can transform a small space into something spectacular. Exposed low-hanging bulbs look perfect with a simple table setting.

VINTAGE CHINA
For a stunning outdoor setting, choose ornate, vintage china plates. Add a pretty runner some bright blooms and fresh fruit.

CANDLES
What better way to add romance and warmth to a dinner table, than with candlelight?

FRESH FRUIT AND CHEESE
Fill the table with tempting cheeses, fruit, charcuterie, fresh bread and bottles of wine.

TABLE RUNNER AND CHAIR DETAILS
A sheer runner falling to the floor, along with lace draped chairs will give you some drama for an Edwardian style dinner party.

GO FAMILY STYLE
Family-style dining is the way forward for a fuss free dinner party. Sharing food at the table allows for more variety on the menu and adds a lovely atmosphere. Seat everyone at one long table to enhance the intimacy of the event.

Honeymoon Planning Tips

DECIDE ON A BUDGET  This is the trip of your lifetime, so pamper yourself; but make sure you have a balance in your bank account upon your return. A realistic budget will help you make decisions on the destination, the type of hotels and the length of your honeymoon.  Remember, by registering for your honeymoon it is possible to have your guests contribute to your once-in-a-lifetime trip.

DECIDE WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANNING THE HONEYMOON The old-fashioned, traditional way is for the groom to do it on his own; but the most popular and successful method is for the soon-to-be-spouse and an experienced travel agent to work together as a trio to plan your dream honeymoon. She can make all the arrangements without the two of you having to worry about them.

DISCUSS YOUR HONEYMOON DREAMS  You really have to talk to each other about this one. Each make a list of things most important to you and compare notes. Make a list of fun activities you and your partner enjoy doing together. Are there places you have dreamed of exploring together?

PICK YOUR DESTINATION Your travel agent may come up with some suggestions you never thought of when she sees your lists.

SELECT YOUR HONEYMOON TYPE  A cruise allows you visit several romantic locations. A city stay in a romantic metropolis is exhilarating. Eco-tourism is awe inspiring for nature lovers. Nothing says romance like a tropical all-inclusive beach resort. Your travel agent will advise you based on your honeymoon dreams.

DECIDE THE TIME AND DURATION   You will want to leave at least a day or more between your wedding day and honeymoon trip if possible. That way you will have time to recover from the stress and excitement of the wedding and feel fresh on the honeymoon. When you travel, how long you travel will affect the cost of your honeymoon. Flexibility will give you more options.

MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS  Let your travel agent take care of all the details without you having to worry about them. Your travel agent will go over everything you need to know about two weeks before you depart.

MAKE SURE YOUR PASSPORTS ARE IN ORDER

REMEMBER YOUR CAMERA  These are the memories of a lifetime.

ENJOY YOURSELVES   Once you arrive at your honeymoon destination; indulge and enjoy this time to the fullest with each other. Relax, rejuvenate and make sure both of you are enjoying your honeymoon. The quality time that you spend on a honeymoon is the foundation in building your lifelong union.

On the way, you can visit ancient monasteries; stop by both the winter and summer palaces of the Dalai Lama and get a view of Mt. Everest as you drive through the Himalayas. Traveling through Tibet can be tough if you're prone to altitude sickness, but you can rest assured your honeymoon will be a once-in-a-lifetime ride.

Costa Rica is a perfect destination for honeymooners who want it all -- couples can relax on the beach, hike nature trails in the lush Monteverde cloud forest or windsurf at the base of an active volcano at Lake Arenal. If you're staying near the shore, test your angler skills for a day on deep-sea fishing. In the Guanacaste province, take a chartered boat trip and cast for marlin, mahimahi, and sailfish, which can grow up to 10 feet long and weigh 200 pounds!

WEDDING NIGHT SEX
Sexy Ways to Create the Mood

Here's how you can make your first night as husband and wife pleasurable and also memorable. :

MASTER THE ART OF A ‘DIRTY’ PROLOGUE A fun tip that will build up to your wedding night is having a secret flirting pact between you and your spouse. By whispering naughty somethings to each other when seated on the dais or even feeling each other up while being photographed can get the hormones going.

KISS 101  Get the kiss right because that is the spark to the ignition you'd need for the pleasurable bumpy ride ahead. Also, the perfect lip-lock is a deciding factor in your sexual performance that follows in the bedroom. Get creative... get started!

SLIP INTO SOMETHING SEXY  Don’t even think of getting into those pajamas from your graduation days! Instead, slip into something that will take your newly-wedded husband into a state of wild excitement. Some naughty, sensual lingerie can guarantee some kinky fun in between the sheets on your wedding night.

SIP UP SOME FINE WINE  Alcohol has been one of the most ancient forms of libido stimulation and wine is clearly one of them. And let’s face it. Who doesn’t love a little wine after putting in so much hard work for your big day? Turn your wedding night into an erotic experience by enjoying a glass of wine. Brining on the jolly good spirit was never this easy!

WEAR A SENSE OF HUMOUR  Sex is fun but can be funny too. So apart from slipping into something sexy, wear a sense of humour on your sleeve so that both you and your spouse can get flirty, amp up the foreplay and ease into the actual trip to pleasure town. And even if things don't go exactly as planned, laughing together is always a good thing because you have a lifetime to get it right.

FEED EACH OTHER So, you were eyeing that delectable spread all day and then the endless rituals and photo sessions killed your appetite. But you know what? It is always wise to gulp down some small bites to keep yourself going through the night. A tried-and-tested formula to build some action between the sheets is by indulging in feel-good foods or aphrodisiacs. Feed yourself with love for maximum pleasure!

FINE TUNE WITH SOME SOOTHING MUSIC  Don’t ever underestimate the power of music! ‘Coz a soothing compilation of love songs is a perfect way to the heart. And once you have succeeded in striking the right ‘chord’ with the new guy in your life, you will know that everything is headed in the right direction. Fill your bedroom with sweet songs and see the difference for yourself.
