Exercises for Sexy, Strong Legs you should try at least once a week

Fitness enthusiast spend a lot of time on working out ‘show muscles’ like abs, biceps, chest but your legs need attention too. Your legs are the foundation of strength, these exercises will not only help you build mass and help you get faster but also activate the biggest muscles in your body and releases growth hormones and testosterone.

You’ll need 25 pound dumbbells. In case you don’t have weights at home don’t sweat, you can still continue the workout, just increase the reps. Or the best way is to get backpack and put some weights in it.

In case you haven’t done leg workouts for more than a month, it is best if you start with 4 or 5 reps rather than going in for 10 rep sets straight up. You don’t want a no leg day, right?

Squats -10 reps

They work your quads, glutes and your hamstrings.

Back lunges-10 reps each leg

You work on the same muscle grip like squats, but are doing it at a different angle one leg at a time.

Front lunges-10 reps each leg

Remember when you are lunging, bend you knees up to 90 degrees for both your front and back leg.

Explosive jumps-10 reps

Set up something to jump over. You can use a small table; cover it with a sofa mattress but not something very high. The point is to give you something to aim for; this will also give you consistency as you might get tired with the workout.

Stiff leg dead lifts-10 reps

Works great for your hamstrings and calves. Do this workout at least once a week

Tips for the Bride Groom

Some men take grooming to the extreme. They experiment with hair styles and colours, try different aftershaves and colognes, get manicures, pedicures, facial treatments at the spa and maybe even a wax!

At the other end are the men that consider brushing their teeth and applying deodorant sufficient. If you are at this end of the scale, then you might consider trying a few new things when preparing for your wedding.

Pay attention to any problems with your skin, and consult a dermatologist if necessary. You can also try some facial treatments to help you have the same glow as your bride when it comes time for the photos. You may need to have several, a few weeks apart to get the right result. You can always book a double appointment and go with your bride-to-be.

Try a manicure or pedicure. Particularly good for those men who work with their hands as they tend to have rougher skin. An inexpensive hand cream can really help if your skin is rough and dry.

If you have particularly hairy hands or eyebrows waxing would be a solution to consider and if you're not a regular at the dentist, then it may be a good time to go in for a quick check and clean.

A regular massage is something else you may want to have. After all, you don't want to look stressed on your wedding day!

Get plenty of sleep. Try to get at least half an hour more than usual in the fortnight leading up to the wedding. You want to look fresh for the photos.

Drink lots of water. This is the number one thing you can do for your health. It cleanses your body of toxins, helps you have clear glowing skin and shiny hair and helps you keep your weight in check.

Exercise is good. If you're a regular exerciser then just keep doing what you do, if not, then consider some simple exercises like walking or bike riding. If you participate in dangerous sporting activities, you may want to time your wedding to coincide with some down time. Crutches and casts on the wedding day are definitely not going to impress the bride!

Remember, a well cut suit can help you look great, even if you have a few extra kilos. You should avoid last minute crash diets because they tend to be nutrient poor and you may get run down and ill as a result. Better to be three or four kilos heavier and hide it with your suit, than to feel sick, tired and grumpy on your wedding day.

The groom's suit should complement the bride's dress in style and elegance. If the bride's dress is white and simple, then the groom should not use colours that are too bright or choose a suit style that overshadows the bride's attire. Similarly, if the bride's dress has splashes of colour, then the groom's attire should have some matching elements.

They say that it's bad luck to see the bride in her dress before the big day, but apart from that being superstition, it is important for the groom to know what his partner will be wearing, so he can choose his attire accordingly. If you really believe in the above saying, then at least get a look at the dress hanging on a rack or at worst, a photo of it. Suit jackets come in many styles. Contemporary and popular is the mandarin jacket, with its stand-up collar. More traditional are tuxedo or tails jackets.

Dinner jackets are also popular and very elegant. For most men, black or grey will be the colour of their suit for their wedding, but in warmer climates particularly, coloured suits are becoming more common. Unlike the coloured suits of the seventies, modern coloured suits are cut to look elegant and flattering. Even if you don't go with it, have some fun and try one on when you're shopping for your suit.

Of course you'll need a shirt. Again, many styles from which to choose. Mandarin collar shirts match with mandarin jackets or classic tuxedoes. Wing collar shirts are formal and often have a pattern down the breast of the shirt. They combine best with a bow tie. Spread collar and classic collar can combine with most jackets and require a tie of some sort.

A white shirt is best for a wedding, no matter what colour your suit. If you want to have some splashes of colour, there are shirts that come with coloured collars and sleeve cuffs. A note on sleeve cuffs while we're here. They should extend about 1cm below the jacket with the arms by your sides. Ties, belts, vests, shoes, socks, cuff links, etc. There is a long list of accessories to match with your suit. Lots to cover, so let's start with the essentials.

Shoes: They must be comfortable! You will spend most of the day in them and you will be on your feet for a large part. Most men will re-use their wedding shoes, so it's worth paying the extra for a good pair. Try to get them as early as possible, so you can wear them around the house a bit to break them in. If you wear them out at all before the wedding, remember to clean and polish them for the day.

Socks: They should be clean and colour co-ordinated. Other than that, choose ones that will be warm or light enough, depending on the wedding location and season.

Belt: It should match your attire and have a simple, elegant buckle. If you are wearing a cummerbund then it still matters because most men remove the cummerbund once the official parts of the ceremony and reception are over.

Tie: Depending on the shirt you choose, you may or may not wear a tie. The contemporary looking mandarin collared shirt is worn without a tie. If you are wearing a tie, it could be one of several different styles, according your choice of suit and shirt. Bow ties are popular and elegant.

Vest or waistcoat: Popular in Britain and North America for formal affairs. They are optional in most cases, although some suit / shirt combinations really beg for a vest. This is one way that you can add some colour to your attire without fear of making a mess of it. There are some beautiful waistcoats available with gold or cooper tone thread patterns, that really add a touch of class to your while outfit.

Cuff links: If your shirt requires them, use them. Elegant gold or silver coloured look good with anything. Otherwise, match the colour of your suit.

Hat: Hats are not too popular these days, but can be a lovely touch. Top hats and tails look fabulous together and can even be finished off with a gold topped cane for that old time regal look.

Cummerbunds: Popular in the United States, the cummerbund can be easily matched with the bridesmaid's dresses to add a splash of colour to the groom and groomsmen's attire. The cummerbund goes best with a matching coloured bow tie.

Suspenders: Generally speaking, this ancient way of holding up your trousers should be avoided for formal occasions. However, if concealed by the jacket for the official parts of the day, they can be fun during the reception festivities and later into the night!

The best way to choose the right attire for the groom and groomsmen is to go to several shops, with the bridal party in tow. Why not have some fun together and go out to dinner afterward. Once a general consensus has been reached, the bridal party need not go along to any other fittings. Whether you hire a suit for the day or buy one, you should let your own personality and style show through. Just remember, you and your bride should look wonderful together.

Choose Right Wedding Wear to get a Maharaja Like Look
Gone are the days when grooms can either look traditional or stylish. Modern designs in grooms wear give them stylish, royal and luxurious look all together.

Weddings often tend to be much about the bride, her D-day, her wedding trousseau, her dream attire and so on. Even though MANAALAYA want the brides to enjoy all the attention and adulation, we also want the groom to complement her in all her glory.

Dhoti Kurta:
Dhoti kurta is the customary indian clothing for men. Not only is the attire comfortable and lets the groom be at ease, it can also help you pass a royal style statement, reminiscent of a maharaja-like glory.
Choose fabrics like silk and brocade that have a sheen of their own, and keep the embellishments minimal. After all, you don’t want to be stealing your wife’s limelight.

Sherwanis have been making a prominent mark on the ramp as well as in the wedding section for men. The icon of a big fat indian wedding, if chosen right (go for pastel and matte shades with a contrasting colour of churidaar and stole to complete the look), a sherwani can steal it all.

Smart Wedding Financing

Shee finally popped the question and now your dreams are focused on planning the big day, your day, the day you have been waiting for all your life. Little girls dream of prince charming and fairy tale weddings and now it's all coming true, but hold on a minute.... you're not a little boy anymore and fairy tale weddings cost real money.

Don't just start reaching for the plastic, applying for a loan or borrowing from family; why not rethink your wants. Having a more realistic wedding you can afford is far better than beginning married life with a big debt. The smart groom can have his cake and eat it too, with a well thought out budget and plan for his perfect day. Start with MANAALAYA Wedding Planning Checklist.

Once you have made a plan, it's crucial you stick to it. If you do go over budget, you should try to trim someplace else to maintain the overall spending limit. Setting aside money for out-of-the-blue expenses is also important when figuring overall cost.

If assuming some debt is inevitable, what is the best approach? Tally how much money you have saved and how much of the wedding you still have to finance. Put together an after-marriage budget and calculate what can be set aside for wedding bills each month, after taking into account existing loans and obligations.

Money advisers agree that it's best not to take on liabilities you can't pay off within a year. If you are using an existing credit card to fill the money gap, call the credit-card company and ask them to lower your interest rate. (But keep in mind this will only work if you always meet your due date.) If you're opening a new account, look for a card that offers either zero or low interest during an introductory period and try to get the balance paid off during this time.

When you feel crazily caught up in the moment and are tempted to go on a buying binge, take a deep breath and consider what is truly important: celebrating your love and the beginning of your lives together. Focus on what is meaningful for you and your spouse not just doing something for show.

Turn up the heat

Want a really romantic dinner? Sure, candles and soft music are nice, but what you and your beloved nosh on could truly take things to another level. The following (healthy!) foods may actually affect hormone levels, brain chemistry and energy, heightening arousal and sex drive.
While there aren't double-blind studies proving the aphrodisiac properties of these foods, there is plenty of anecdotal evidence suggesting they really help, so why not work in one (or more) on your honeymoon.
                                                                 Asparagus
This veggie's phallic appearance no doubt has something to do with its legendary aphrodisiac status, but the goods are inside, too. Asparagus is rich in vitamin B6 and folate, both of which can boost arousal and orgasm. And it also boasts vitamin E, which stimulates sex hormones in both men and women.

                               Avocados

Energy and a healthy libido are crucial for great sex and avocados can give you both. They're loaded with minerals, monounsaturated fats (the good kind that protect the heart and lower cholesterol), and vitamin B6—all of which help keep your energy and sex drive up. They're also a top source of omega-3 fatty acids, which naturally boost your mood, making you more likely to feel ready for bedroom action.

Chile peppers
Chile peppers can really spice things up and not just in your mouth thanks to capsaicin, a chemical that's been shown to induce the release of endorphins in the brain, which creates a feeling of euphoria. The potential payoff? Enhanced foreplay and hotter sex.

Chocolate

This sweet has long been linked with love and sex for good reason. It contains tryptophan, which helps the body produce serotonin, a natural feel-good chemical that may play a role in sexual arousal. Chocolate also offers a hit of phenyl ethylamine, a stimulant thought to contribute to that lovey-dovey feeling. So, go ahead, indulge a little!

Licorice

This candy (sold conveniently in, um, whips) is thought to mimic the effects of estrogen and progesterone, critical hormones for normal reproductive and sexual function and response. Eating it may help you get in the mood and stay that way more often. Plus, enjoying this candy may reduce symptoms of PMS, a real perk both in and outside the bedroom. But note: Don't settle for just any old licorice-flavored candy. Be sure to buy a variety that contains real licorice-root extract.

Secrets to Better Orgasms
Just can't seem to quite get there? Or would you like your big moment to be even bigger? A friction position may help you have an orgasm during intercourse. Get on top, for example, so the top of your clitoris is rubbing directly on your partner’s pubic bone. Or lay on your back with a pillow underneath your butt.
Let your partner know when he’s on the right track, either by telling him what feels great or by moaning. Engaging in thrill-seeking behaviors together (whether it’s rock climbing or just going to see a scary movie) stimulates dopamine in the brain, which gets your juices flowing.
The longer the arousal buildup, the bigger the explosion. Get her close to orgasm, then slow to a simmer. Repeat that a few times before she climax. focused breathing—may boost your pleasure. Partners who breathe in tandem may slow the rush to orgasm and create a bigger buildup, which can intensify pleasure.
Porn isn’t all about big penises and deep throats. Erotic movies and books can be tasteful and arousing, and the more aroused you are, the better your orgasm chances. If it takes you longer than your partner to warm up, get a head start by e-mailing or texting each other sexy messages (but don’t get too graphic—e-mail is not necessarily private).
Women are more likely than men to take antidepressants, which are known to hurt a person’s sex life. If you’re having trouble, talk to your doctor about your meds. Women are more likely than men to take antidepressants, which are known to hurt a person’s sex life. If you’re having trouble, talk to your doctor about your meds.
A low libido, obviously, lowers chances of orgasm. So ditch life’s distractions at your bedroom door and check out these aphrodisiacs like chocolate, chile peppers, asparagus, avocados, and oysters.

Chairman of Wills Design Private Limited

Emerging fashion designers like the international Advisor of Fashion Designing Dr. Namal Balachandra, have made their awesome presence felt in carving a niche and leaving an indelible mark in the grooms fashion design industry here in Sri Lanka and everywhere else in the international arena.

His creative genius won his company the International Star for Leadership in Quality Award and the QC 100 Total Quality Management Certificate at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Paris and him the Honorary Doctorate from the European Society for Quality Research in America in 2014.

His meteoric rise to fame and the dizzying heights he has reached today is an indication that his creations would live to infinity and beyond. His constant search for perfection and innovation has evolved into the universal and timeless style imparted especially to the grooms that Wills Design creates

To keep you up-to-date from whom you should be wearing your grooms attire this year, this article has been penned to keep you informed of his genius and how his designing prowess could help you through some unusual and extraordinary grooms out fits.

Famed for his perfect cut, fit and innovative tailoring, he is acclaimed for introducing the revered Savile Row tailoring to altering the traditional Arya Sinhala suit to a more fascinating form of a grooms garment more like a royal court dress worn by a Mogul Emperor in times of yore, for a new generation of fashion seekers in Sri Lanka and Europe.

He is also considered for his role in introducing the luxurious and sophisticated Italian men's fashion to the European styled full suits in vogue in Sri Lanka because Italian suit styles are well-known for their trendiness through a cut very slim; a sleek silhouette, suave and classy.

Italian suit jackets have two vents and are shorter and tight fitting and shoulders are padded while lapel notches and buttons are positioned higher than in British and American jackets. Pockets are flapless and jackets have a pronounced V-shape using lighter clothes, higher gorge lines and less overall padding. Pants with tapered waist and hips are snug to the body and the Italian suits conceptualized and developed by Dr. Namal Balachandra fits perfect to all body styles, shapes and sizes.

In terms of cost, the material that you choose is really the biggest factor. Materials like linen or all natural fibers can cost more. However once you consider that you'll be constructing the perfect suit for your great day, the cost of paying more for high quality materials isn't all that much, for you'll have a durable suit that will last you many years if you pick a fine material.

The Maschile Di Lusso Italian suit collection will give you the classic style you've been looking for, for the perfect fit every single time because you'll be associating with sartorial professionals and expertly skilled dress designers and modern art tailors with the best materials in the world.

A bespoke suit is the "pinnacle of the men's sartorial process" says Dr. Namal Balachandra, the 41 year old International Fashion Advisor and Chairman of Sri Lanka's Grooms-wear fashion designing conglomerate – Wills design (Private) Limited. Most Wills design clients view their suits as heirlooms to be handed down from one generation to the next.

Dripping with refinement and sophistication, Dr. Namal Balachandra's collection of grooms attire in luxurious fabrics and plush colours, brings a perfect vibe of richness to any grooms closet from the Wills design (Private) Limited showrooms in Colpetty, Pelawatte-Battaramulla, Mount Lavinia, Kiribathgoda, Panadura and Horana. Try This Male Fertility Improvement
Plan to Increase Sperm Production

Sperm goes limp with fatty foods, while fish perks them up. But don’t stop there. If you're a guy concerned about fertility, MANAALAYA do-it-yourself male fertility improvement plan could increase sperm production.

Sperm have different functions. Some act like blockers to stop other sperm, which makes "survival of the fittest" sense for animals with multiple mates during rutting season, while others are sprinters designed to beat a path to the egg. More than half of a guy's sperm are the sprinter/swimmer type, and those oval heads need to be strong enough to break through an egg's tough outer layer.

Giving your sperm a healthy makeover makes sense for every couple trying to have a baby. If you are younger than 34 and have been trying but haven’t conceived in 12 months, or if you're 35 or older, talk with your doctor. Also take these steps -- starting today -- for super-swimmer sperm:
  • EAT LITTLE TO NO BAD FATS AND MORE GOOD FATS Eating lots of saturated fat (found in red meats, processed meats, full-fat dairy products and many snack foods and desserts) can reduce sperm counts by 38% and slow the swimming ability of the remaining 62%.
Getting more omega-3 fatty acids from fish as salmon and wild trout, however, means higher sperm counts. To get more omega-3s, you can also take 1,500 milligrams of a DHA (docosahexaenoic acid the most active omega-3) supplement daily. Take 1,500 mg for 10 weeks, and then cut back to 1,000 mg.
  • HANG OUT AT THE FARM STAND Filling up on fruit and vegetables protects sperm quality and quantity by revving up your body's defenses that keep 'em healthy
.
  • ADD VITAMIN D3 AND ZINC Plenty of vitamin D3 helps sperm swim better and faster. Add 12 mg of zinc a day for a healthy sperm count and superior shape. Find zinc in your multivitamin and in healthful food sources, including poultry, beans, cashews, and yogurt with no fat or added sugar.

  • GET THAT LAPTOP OFF YOUR LAP AND YOUR PHONE OUT OF YOUR POCKET Surfing the Web or checking e-mail with a Wi-Fi-connected laptop in your lap is bad news for male fertility since it thwarts sperms’ swimming skills and the precious DNA (yours!) cargo they carry. Phones may hamper male fertility, too.

  • KEEP COOL WHERE IT COUNTS Sperm production needs temperatures cooler than the rest of your body, which is why hot tubs, a fever, and even a desk job can decrease your sperm count.

Take stand-up breaks at work, let 'em breathe and make the switch from briefs to boxers. Tight underwear can reduce sperm count by up to 50%. Cyclists, mix up your exercise routine, too.
  • SKIP THE DRINKS AND SMOKES Smoking tobacco is harmful to male fertility. It can cut your sperm count by 13% to 17% and increases the risk of genetic abnormalities, so it's best to quit smoking.
There's evidence that marijuana is also bad news. More than one beer, glass of wine, or cocktail a day also messes with sperm quality. After two drinks, sperm get mixed up and travel in weird directions.
  • STAY TRIM FOR YOUR SWIMMERS. Being overweight subtracts from your sperm count and ups the number of abnormal sperm in your arsenal. Why? Obesity may alter hormone levels and heat up your testicles. Losing weight can also cure erectile dysfunction if you're unable to achieve an erection.

  • DON'T HOLD BACK IN THE BEDROOM. Daily fun between the sheets improves sperm quality dramatically. Compared to several days of abstinence, daily intimacy reduces DNA damage in sperm by about 30%

               Stop bad breath with

                   these simple steps

Bad breath knocks our confidence, while an even higher percentage notes it’s a deal breaker on a first date. That’s the bad news. The good news is that there’s plenty you can do to avoid having the kind of breath only a dog would consider normal. MANAALAYA has a few simple remedies…

Get chewing
Your best weapon in the war against bad breath happens to be totally free – it’s your saliva. Not only is it rich in oxygen the ultimate enemy of the anaerobic bacteria that cause halitosis, it also prevents the mouth from drying out and helps dislodge trapped food particles.

To get your juices flowing, munch on fibrous fruit and vegetables like carrot, apple and celery or chew some sugar-free gum.

Scrape
Brushing and flossing are all very well but they only reach around 25% of your mouth. The tongue, in particular, has plenty of places for odour-causing bacteria to set up home, it’s estimated that 80 per cent of cases of bad breath are caused by bacteria nestled at the back of it, so use a tongue scraper to forcibly evict them.

Raid the cupboard
If you’re looking for a cheap but effective on-the-go breath-freshener, then why not pop a few cardamom pods into your pockets and chew on them when necessary? As well as being aromatic, the pods contain oil that’s known for its antiseptic and antimicrobial properties.

Stay hydrated
Nothing exacerbates bad breath quite like a dry mouth and the secret to keeping a mouth nice and moist is adequate hydration. Rather than drinking endless bottles of mineral water, keep hydration levels consistent by eating plenty of water-rich fruit and vegetables which release their moisture at a steadier rate.

Gargle
Mouthwashes are great for freshening breath and dislodging trapped food particles but since alcohol can actually dry out the mouth; always look for alcohol-free ones. Or make your own mouthwash by adding a couple of drops of peppermint oil to a glass of warm water.

Timeless, refined and sophisticated…..!
Timeless, refined and sophisticated, the suits below are what MANAALAYA considers to be modern-day essentials – transcending seasonal trends, they will never go out of fashion.

The Navy Two-Piece

A navy blue two-piece is arguably the only suit a guy would ever need, with its rich and versatile tone enabling it to adapt to any scenario especially a wedding reception.
The key with this style aside from it fitting perfect is to opt for a classic single-breasted, notch lapel jacket and always look to combine with brown footwear and accessories over black.

The Black Two-Piece
Although the black suit often gets a bad rap, a well-tailored version will always look sophisticated and chic, not to mention slimming.
However, when it comes to styling, keep it simple – too much colour or pattern can cheapen the aesthetic. A classic white dress shirt and black silk tie is a winning combination, especially when finished with a smart pair of black lace-ups or Chelsea boots.
This should be considered your go-to evening option; a full black suit is often too stark to wear in the daytime (it looks its best under artificial light), but you can take the edge off by splitting it into separates and pairing the jacket with slim grey trousers.

The Grey Prince of Wales

 Check Suit

Understated yet refined, a charcoal or mid-grey Prince of Wales check suit will help you subtly stand out in a sea of navy and black tailoring. Just remember to keep your surrounding pieces pared-back and muted to let the pattern do all the talking.
Due to its British heritage roots, try combining the blazer with similar rugged and outdoorsy pieces at the weekend – think dark indigo jeans and a pair of tan brogues.

The Mid-Grey Three-Piece
Grey is a truly versatile colour that works just as well for a groom’s suit. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the mid-grey three-piece has remained a menswear classic, proving a strong investment for those that prefer fully buttoned-up style.
It also allows you to ditch the jacket for example, in the heat of summer and still look extremely put together. Try the trousers and waistcoat with a tieless shirt – sleeves rolled up, of course – for a slightly dressed-down feel.

Beige Suit

With modern gents finally realizing the importance of seasonal dressing, the beige suit has quickly developed into a contemporary classic.
With this design only really suitable during spring/summer, prioritise breathable cotton or linen-blend versions to ensure comfort in the heat and opt for a slim but not skinny cut so as not to restrict air circulation.
Due to its relaxed nature, the individual pieces are extremely easy to wear – try the trousers with a polo shirt and minimal trainers for a sporty weekend look or the blazer with your favourite jeans and a pair of leather loafers for a night out in the town with your newlywed wife.

         Budget Wedding Catering Ideas

Apart from the honeymoon, the biggest expense for people getting married is the reception after the marriage ceremony. Traditionally, newlyweds put on massive spreads to entertain their guests and the bills can run into the tens of thousands.
These days, however, a growing number of people getting married are scaling back on the celebrations and deciding that less can, in fact, be a whole lot more. After all, just how much food can people eat in one sitting? At weddings, what’s in the glass is for many a lot more important.
The thinking for some couples is: why waste enormous sums on catering for dozens or even hundreds of people when it can either be saved or put to much better use on a more lavish, or longer, honeymoon.
Besides, five or ten years after the big day, who’s going to recall what they dined on? They’ll remember the ceremony, the ambience, the toasts and that’s about it. An increasing number of people tying the knot have little interest in endless courses of staid dishes, opting instead for more creative and interesting options.
One simple idea that can also be elegant is to do away with the notion of served courses and instead have a buffet table where guests can get their own. They can come and go from it as they please and there might be one table for starters, one for soups, another for mains and one for desserts.
Perhaps it might be an idea to do several tables with themed main courses  say, a “His” and “Hers”, the favorites of the newlyweds, which could, for example, be Indian and Japanese, or Italian and Spanish or Mexican and Thai. It would infuse a fun element into what can sometimes be a dreary affair at wedding receptions, as some people try dishes they’ve never had before.
To save money, it might be an idea to cater the simpler parts of the menu yourself, and leave the rest to an outside caterer. Appetizers for when guests arrive at the venue would be a relatively easy one to cater - crackers and cheese, cocktail sausages, crudités (which are just sliced raw vegetables) and so on. Appetizers ordered in can cost a fortune for such morsels and they’re simple to make in advance, so this would be a good place to start if you’re looking to cut costs.
You could also consider just having appetizers, on a buffet table and that’s all, with no mains or desserts. Most people are not going to want to stuff them and as long as there’s plenty to go around, that’s all that really matters. Don’t forget, there’s also cake.
When choosing the reception venue, you need to know if they insist on providing their own catering, if it’s, say, a hotel, or if it’s somewhere else, like a hall or club, where you can bring in outside catering as well as doing some of your own, if you so wish.
If you’re insisting on a full, multi-course dinner that’s served, you might like to experiment with simple yet classic dishes that are light on the stomach and the wallet. That could mean taking meat dishes and serving them in artistic arrangements with smaller portions. Or conjure your own dishes entirely. You will also have to consider those who may be vegetarian.
Nowadays everyone knows a friend or family member who makes cupcakes – ask them to make you them as a wedding gift or offer to pay and then hire the tiers
You could opt for an early wedding followed by a celebration lunch, instead of a more expensive dinner. This, again, could be a served sit-down or a buffet.
For drinks, simply serve one to each guest, a special drink like a fruity, showy cocktail such as a piña colada, and after that they can buy their own from the bar. You don’t want the shock of an enormous bar bill on your wedding night.
And when it comes to the all-important wedding cake, consider some ideas that make it easier to save and easy on the pocket. One idea might be a towering cupcake cake, stacked like a wedding cake and no cutting or plating involved — just one for everyone who’s there

Honeymoon tips
for first timers

You are all set for your marriage and as the date comes closer you are filled with wonderful nervousness. But one aspect that you are probably thinking about is your honeymoon and how it’ll be.

In a society where arranged marriages are common, it is quite possible that you have not been physically intimate with your partner before your wedding night. So thinking about all the expectations your honeymoon holds can be quite nerve racking. MANAALAYA has some handy tips when you go on that all crucial trip.

GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
If you have not spent time together, then this is the perfect time to get to know each other. Have open conversations, watch a movie and go out for dinner. Remember the better you get to know each other, the better the sex will be. So allow things to happen naturally and don’t focus on sex alone.

DON’T JUMP TO HAVING SEX
Just because it is your honeymoon, it does not mean you should jump into bed as soon as you reach your destination. Sex is an important part of every relationship, but it doesn’t have to be the only thing you do. Plus, your partner might not be ready for it and would like to get to know you first. So relax, talk and ease into the love making.

KEEP YOUR PLANS FLEXIBLE
A common mistake most honeymooners make is to plan their trip with plans to do a lot of sightseeing. This usually involves tight timelines that allow you no flexibility.

While you might like to plan every detail of your trip, know that there will be days when the two of you will want to simply relax and spend some alone time together.

So avoid planning a trip with a planned schedule. Instead explore the region with your partner in tow and watch the romance grow.

SMALL GESTURES CAN HELP BUILD A BOND
Small gestures like a hug, a peck on her cheek or even simply holding her hand every now and then can help build that bond between the two of you.

Remember showing her you care can go a long way in helping her want to have sex with you. So, show affection in your own way.

TALK
Your honeymoon is probably the first time you both will get to be alone with no family to interfere.

So make it a point to communicate openly. This is also the time you will experience living with another person in your space.

Use this time to adjust and tell your partner if something bugs you; don’t bottle it up.

BEFORE SEX, HAVE A LOT OF FOREPLAY
With the nervousness of being with someone for the first time, this may also be the first time you or your partner may be having sex.

So make sure you have a lot of foreplay as it will help increase lubrication affect the natural atmosphere of the vagina.

Kiss, caress and fondle each other. To move on to penetrative sex, try stimulating your lady’s clitoris and vagina so as to increase lubrication.

Most importantly make sure you and your partner are on the same page when it comes to moving to the next level in your relationship.

USE PROTECTION AND LUBRICANT
Being prepared is also another essential part of having great sex during your honeymoon. Stock up on condoms and lubricant so that you can avoid any untoward outcomes of your nightly romps.

To spice things up a bit try different type and flavours of condoms and lubricant.

TEST THE WATERS
If you have been sexually active or have certain fantasies, this may seem like the best time to try them out.

But be a little cautious while you tread those waters. While, we aren’t telling you to not be yourself while with your partner, know that she may not like or even understand what you want.

So talk about it and explain what it might feel like. Only if she is ready should you go ahead.

DON’T JUDGE HER
Guys, women do suffer from performance anxiety, especially if it is their first time. So, wipe out all those pre conceived notions about how a woman should be in bed and give her some time to figure things out.

She might be shy, nervous, excited or feel all these emotions, so allow her a few faux pas through the journey.

Know that the first time with someone is not always great; it takes a little bit of time to get to know each other’s rhythm, likes and dislikes.

So don’t expect the best sex of your life the first time around. Let it build and become an act you want to keep at for the rest of your life.
